Native Plant Trust's new CEO, Tim Johnson, recently used the phrase "bio-productive gardens" to describe home landscapes managed in a way “so that everything that flows through them, from rainwater to birds, leaves healthier than when it arrived.” So let's have a conversation about what we can do in our home landscapes to benefit water, insects, birds, and other biotic and abiotic components as we check out a local home that is on the path to being bio-productive.
